David has been a Professional Piano Player for many years. He discovered he could play Piano by ear at the age of 5. By 17, he was already an accomplished Jazz Piano Player and appeared in various Midlands piano and jazz clubs, Ronnie Scotts in London and Le Chat Qui Peche in Paris.
With the emergence of writers such as Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Paul Williams, Carole King, James Taylor and many other influential figures in the pop world, David switched his piano player style to pop, and commenced to write songs with immediate success, leading to several commercial artists recording his work including The Troggs, Alan Price, The New Seekers, Matt Monro, Roger Cook (Blue Mink).
As an accomplished Professional Piano Player, he has worked with Sir George Martin, Rick Wakeman, Harry Stoneham (composer of the theme tune to 'Parkinson'), Larry Page (producer of The Troggs), John Burgess, Les Reed, Roger Greenaway, Roger Cook and many other writers, artistes and producers.
Alongside his writing, David also began to build up what is now a vast repertoire of popular songs by other composers. As well as the charts, these are drawn from musicals, film themes, rock, ballads, folk rock, traditional and many other genres.
David now performs as a private pianist, and helps to add to the memories of special days by offering services such Wedding Pianist, along with performing at many venues as resident entertainment pianist, or by helping people celebrate their special day as a Party Pianist and at other social events and functions.
